From April 25th to 26th, Tan Xuguang led a technical team to Tokyo and Toyota City, Japan to visit Toyota Motor and hydrogen fuel cell production bases.

On the afternoon of the 25th, Tsuneji Sato, the new president of Toyota Motor, held a working meeting with Tan Xuguang at the Tokyo head office. The two sides exchanged information on the hydrogen fuel cell development strategies of Toyota Motor and Weichai Power. Koji Sato said that China will lead the world in carbon neutral technology, and Toyota will cooperate with Weichai to contribute to the acceleration of carbon neutrality. Tan Xuguang said that Weichai took the lead in the construction of the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center and undertook major national special fuel cell projects. This visit is to better promote global cooperation in hydrogen energy and build a global hydrogen energy ecosystem.

On the morning of the 26th, Tan Xuguang and his entourage went to the Toyota headquarters in Toyota City, and had a discussion with Hiroki Nakajima, executive officer, vice president, and CTO of Toyota Motor, and conducted in-depth discussions on the technical direction of the development of the hydrogen energy industry, and how to promote China's hydrogen energy A consensus has been reached on developing and accelerating the realization of carbon neutrality.

Tan Xuguang led Weichai's technical expert team to visit Toyota's hydrogen fuel cell production line and had in-depth exchanges with Toyota's fuel cell technical experts. Tatsuro Ueda, executive officer of Toyota Motor Corporation and director of China Headquarters, accompanied the visit and exchanges throughout the process.

Tan Xuguang was also invited to attend the memorial service of Shoichiro Toyoda, the honorary chairman of Toyota Motor, during which he communicated with Takeshi Uchiyamada, the former president of Toyota Motor, and Akio Toyoda, the current president.
