On January 14, the signing and opening ceremony of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Weichai Power and Sinotruk Future Commercial Vehicle Innovation Joint Research Center was held in Jinan. Lin Zhongqin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Huang Zhen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of the Smart Energy Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Tan Xuguang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group attended the symposium and witnessed the signing.

Lin Zhongqin said that Shanghai Jiao Tong University has always maintained a good school-enterprise cooperation relationship with Weichai Power and Sinotruk. It is hoped that through the future joint research center for commercial vehicle innovation, the scientific research achievements of universities will be widely applied to industrial practice and make greater contributions to the development of China's commercial vehicle industry.

Tan Xuguang expressed the hope that the three parties will build a new benchmark for industry-university-research cooperation, give full play to their respective resource advantages, make every effort to break through the key core technologies of "bottleneck", and form a number of leading achievements with independent intellectual property rights to promote the establishment of global leading advantages in commercial vehicles and powertrain systems.

Lin Zhongqin, Huang Zhen and Tan Xuguang jointly inaugurated the Shanghai Jiaotong University, Weichai Power and Sinotruk Future Commercial Vehicle Innovation Joint Research Center.
