Sinotruk Won the National Science and Technology Progress Award

At the State Science and Technology Progress Awarding conference held in Great Hall of People in capital Beijing on January 9, the project “Efficient SCR technology R&D and industrialization of exhaust pollution control of heavy duty diesel vehicles” involved by Sinotruk received the second award of the State Science and Technology Progress Award. It is reported that this is the highest award of science and technologythat Sinotruk has won since its restructuring program.

Sinotruk has undertaken a series of important works in this project, expanding the size of the scaleproduction of vanadium catalyst-urea SCR system and its supporting equipment, coating process development of non-vanadium catalyst, And the study of the characteristics of the diesel engine emissions, the matching and integration of the SCR postprocessing system, evaluation, demonstration and durability, etc..

This project is a successful example of the combination of production, learning and research. The successfully putting into operation of SCR project not only enormously increases market competitiveness of Sinotruk’s vehicles, but also the industry's monopoly to break the monopoly of international enterprises, so that the whole country in the processing of industrial heavy vehicle confidence.
