Shandong-Ghana Enterprise Cooperation Conference Held in Jinan

Recently, the Shandong-Ghana Enterprise cooperation conference was held in Jinan. Ambassador of Ghana to China Winfred Hammond, Li Yongsen, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC Provincial Party Committee, and officials of Shandong Gold Group, Shandong Expressway Group, Sinotruk Group and other Shandong enterprises investing in Ghana attended the meeting.
Li Yongsen, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC Provincial Committee, said that as an important province participating in China-Africa cooperation, Shandong and Ghana have continuously strengthened their cooperation in economy, trade and investment in recent years, injecting strong impetus into deepening the bilateral friendly exchanges. Shandong will continue to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises in the province and Ghana to benefit the people of both sides. Liu Wei, deputy general manager of Sinotruk Howo Group, introduced the operation of investment projects in Ghana and expressed his active participation in the "One Plant" plan launched by the Ghana government. CAI Kun, general manager of Shandong Expressway Group, introduced road repair, refinery, smart agriculture, new energy, road reconstruction and railway projects in Ghana, and continued to participate in the construction projects of infrastructure, clean energy, smart city and park; Du Qiang, deputy general manager of Mining Management Branch of Shandong Gold Group, introduced the progress of Namutini gold project in Ghana.
The three companies also put forward specific cooperation suggestions to Mr. Ambassador. Ambassador Hammond said that the healthy development of Shandong enterprises in Ghana has played an important role in promoting local economic and social development and boosting employment, and will drive more Shandong enterprises to invest in Ghana. We fully support the mutually beneficial cooperation between Shandong enterprises and Ghana, and welcome enterprises to establish a communication mechanism with the embassy to better promote information and resource sharing.
After the meeting, Ambassador Hammond and his delegation visited Inspur Group. Wang Hongtian, deputy general manager of Inspur Group, introduced the cooperation with Ghana, and discussed with Ambassador Hammond and his delegation on the cooperation in information technology fields such as smart warehousing and government system informatization.
